Even though it’s not yet hit UK shores, Wreck-It Ralph has already grossed more than $375 million across the globe. Mightily impressive. As ever, to paraphrase a far wiser man… ‘with great dollars comes great sequel.’ Something like that, anyway.
Speaking to ComingSoon.net, director Rich Moore discussed a certain character he’d love to see in a possible sequel. That character is Tron of 1982’s TRON fame. The character was apparently set to make a cameo appearance in Wreck-It Ralph.
“I can’t specifically remember why that didn’t happen. Of course, with a sequel, I’m hoping that we can find a way to see Tron himself in that movie.”
Tron is the second character that Moore has said he’d like to include in the sequel, with Nintendo’s iconic Mario being the other.
Wreck-It Ralph is due for release in the UK on 8th February, although the majority of the world get the DVD and Blu-ray on 5th March.
