Whilst Tom Hiddleston will definitely be returning as Loki in the upcoming Thor: The Dark World, there’s currently no plans for any further Loki outings at this time. Joss Whedon has already talked about giving the character a break for Avengers: Age of Ultron, but, as the old saying goes, you can’t keep a good villain down. Speaking to Total Film, Hiddleston has revealed that he’d love to see Loki team up with the villainous Enchantress at some point in the Marvel cinematic world.
The actor said, “When I was first reading the comics, the relationship with the Enchantress was one of the really fun things I thought would be good to explore, and may have even pitched it to Kevin Feige at some point, because she is as sneaky and as untrustworthy as he was. They basically had a really fantastic and twisted relationship until they both say, ‘You know what? I don’t trust you as far as I can throw you. It’s over.’ Because they keep betraying each other, in a way. So it could be good.”
The Enchantress is a long-standing Thor villain, who often uses her female form to get what she wants. Oh, and she’s pretty badass when it comes to all things magic. Kinda like a sexy Paul Daniels.
Whether we ever get a big-screen version of the Enchantress or another outing for Loki remains to be seen. What is definite, though, is that both Loki and Thor will return to UK screens on 30th October in Thor: The Dark World. The rest of the globe will get the film on 8th November.
