Marvel’s “Daredevil” TV Show Gets A Writer

Whilst I’ve had a fantastic week all round – Daredevil getting his own show, Batman vs Superman getting Nightwing, finally getting paid for some of this warbling – sadly, I’m not going to be penning Marvel’s Daredevil for Neflix.

The man with that particular job? The Wrap‘s reporting that that would be Drew Goddard, which is a good choice in my eyes. Goddard is best known for helming The Cabin in the Woods, and he’s also worked closely with Joss Whedon on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel, not to mention writing credits for World War ZCloverfieldLost, and Alias. Whedon, of course, is overseeing the whole Marvel cinematic world.

The plan for the Marvel/Netflix shows is to have fours shows, each one featuring one of Daredevil, Iron First, Luke Cage, and Jessica Jones. The shows will intertwine, all being well, over a numbers of years, eventually crossing over to create The Defenders team.

Despite the dejection of not being given the gig myself, I’m still rather excited about this news.
