Writer Joe Hill Talks “Tales From The Darkside” Reboot

Debbie

It was confirmed last week that The CW is looking to reboot the 198os Tales from the Darkside TV show. The same announcement also added that Joe Hill, son of Stephen King, was attached to write the series. Now, speaking to MTV, the writer has been talking about this proposed project, and also the renaming of the show.

Hill revealed, “Well, for starters, the show is just called ‘Darkside,’ and it really is a reinvention, not a reboot. My feeling is, in the wake of shows like The X-Files and Fringe, the days when you could do a straightforward horror anthology are over.”

It was also revealed to MTV that the show would also involve other writers throughout its run, much like the original Tales from the Darkside series.

That all said, the project, err *reinvention*, has still to officially be given the green light.
