New “The Amazing Spider-Man 2” Poster Shows Rhino And Green Goblin

Yeesh, I didn’t expect to be seeing Green Goblin so soon, but there we go.

Spotted at the Red Rock Casino, Las Vegas, a Twitter user, Jeser Piedra, has taken some pictures of the new The Amazing Spider-Man 2 posters. What’s so interesting about these new promos is that not only do we get a look at Rhino, we also get, in the distance, the Green Goblin. It’s a little tricky to make out all the details, but that’s definitely a Goblin there.

Earlier this week, we got some concept art that apparently shows Harry Osborn as turning into the Green Goblin. Will we get Norman Osborn as well? Will Harry be this series’ Green Goblin? Could there be more than one Goblin? Could we even be getting a Hobgoblin (yes please!)?

The Spidey sequel will see Peter Parker looking to juggle his high school graduation, his affection for Gwen Stacy and his promise to her father that he will stay away from her, and the small matter of a couple of supervillains – namely Electro and Rhino.

Andrew Garfield returns as Pater Parker/Spider-Man, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, Sally Field as Aunt May and Martin Sheen as Uncle Ben. Joining them is Dane DeHaan as Harry Osborn, Chris Cooper as Norman Osborn, Jamie Foxx as Electro and Paul Giamatti as Rhino. There’s also an unknown role for Sarah Gadon and Felicity Jones, with Jones confirmed to be playing a villain who is tied to the Green Goblin.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is released on 18th April, 2014.

  1. I really hope at least the Goblin is a very minor part. I want this to be good and juggling three villains never leads to a good movie. Plus, the Goblin should get his own movie anyways. I’m also hoping they don’t do a power ranger suit on the Goblin and go rubber mask or the real demon looking thing from the Ultimate universe (which is the direction they took Electro.

    • I think it’s going to be the Ultimate look. I’d love a traditional Goblin look, but I can’t see that translating too well to the big screen. I’ll be happy so long as it’s not like the Willem Dafoe GG look.

  2. Hmmm, looks like they are packing an awful lot into this movie… just hope it doesn’t blow up like Spider-Man 3… and I am really excited about this one…
