If you’ve spoken to me in the last few weeks, or even listened to my podcast, then you’ll know I’m a huge, huge, huge fan of the Israeli revenge thriller, Big Bad Wolves. Released in selected screens on Friday over here in the UK, the film has varying release dates for various markets. The US market doesn’t actually get the film until 17th January, 2014, and a US poster has surfaced online today.
The basic premise of the film is that Israel is in the grips of a serial killer that is targeting children. When botched heavy tactics result in the prime suspect being allowed to get away with his apparent crimes, a vengeful cop and a father of one of the victims team up to torture the suspect in the hopes of finally getting the truth from him. The thing is, did the suspect actually carry out the heinous crimes that he is being accused of?
Starring Lior Ashkenazi, Tazchi Grad, Rotem Keinan, Dov Glickman, Menashe Noy and Dvir Benedek, Big Bad Wolves is the latest film from the brilliant duo of Aharon Keshales and Navot Papushado, the guys behind 2010’s Rabies.
