Jason Momoa In Talks For “Batman Vs Superman”

Jason Momoa

So, at first it was simply Man of Steel 2, then Ben Affleck was cast to appear as Batman. Okay, we’re going to get a ‘World’s Finest’ type affair, most thought. Nope, then Gal Gadot was cast as Wonder Woman. Right, but that’s going to be a small part, right? Similar to that rumoured Dick Grayson appearance, yeah? Well it appears that the ever-expanding Man of Steel sequel is adding another name to its ranks.

The Hollywood Reporter claims that Game of Thrones‘ Jason Momoa is in talks for a role in Zack Snyder’s sequel. Early speculation is leaning to wards said role being that of either the monstrous, villainous Doomsday or of Justice League member, Martian Manhunter. Personally, I can’t really see him as J’onn J’onzz, but Doomsday would be a perfect fit.

Expect to hear more on this as it becomes available.

Snyder’s Man of Steel sequel is currently scheduled for a 17th July, 2015 release.

    • It’s kinda like Spider-Man 3… or The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

Seems that maybe they’re trying to rush through and establish a universe similar to The Avengers. Thing is, The Avengers took 5 previous movies to set up.

      • Dammit WHY does everyone lack patience? If they BUILD a universe slowly (and I want to give Marvel a lot of credit for that) you can end up with a massive success rate, not a total embarrassment.

Yeah, there is no issue with that. Marvel had a game plan and then they went for it. While I was not fan of the Avengers, I really liked everything leading up to it, and I am still enjoying what we get after the fact.

        Hem hem Warner Bros…

      • Totally agreed. It seems like the WB were too busy doing the standalone Batman trilogy, whilst Marvel and Disney got together and put down a set plan to bring together a whole world of characters, dynamics and stories.

      • Yeah, and the Dark Knight Trilogy was awesome, but they went into a standstill. Not saying it was bad then, it is a freaking awesome trilogy, but where the hell was everyone else to lay out a good and proper game plan?! Nobody said someone planning ahead would ruin the Dark Knight trilogy. It is like they just want to jump in on Marvel’s success. Sorry, but that is really what it is sadly starting to look like 😦
