Variety is reporting that the finalised script for Star Wars: Episode VII is expected to arrive in January. Walt Disney Studios Chairman, Alan Horn, revealed that J.J. Abrams and Lawrence Kasdan should have the script ready to go by the turn of the year. He also added that the film is expected to cost around the $200 million mark, then reiterated the studio’s plan to release a new Star Wars movie every year going forward. These new tales will vary between new episodes of this latest trilogy and standlone spin-off pictures.
As well as Star Wars, Horn also addressed the long-discussed fifth Indiana Jones film. On that matter, he replied that there is currently no movement and that they are in search of a story to tell.
At present, Star Wars: Episode VII is scheduled for a 18th December, 2015 release.
