The CW Drops Plans for Wonder Woman Show

Over the years, there has been several attempts to bring audiences a new, updated Wonder Woman TV show. Given the success of Smallville and Arrow, many have seemingly tried to take a similar route with Diana. Things even got as far as a pilot a few years ago, with Adrianne Palicki starring in the lead role. Sadly that show never got picked up for a season.

In the last year or so, The CW – the former home of Smallville and current home of Arrow – were developing a Wonder Woman TV show titled Amazon. Similar to Smallville and Arrow, the show was to focus on a young version of Diana. Well, The Hollywood Reporter has broke the news that this show has not been shit-canned. I can’t say I’m entirely surprised, seeing as how the Wonder Woman is now going to be introduced to the big screen in Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel sequel. So that’s that, then.

Fans of Wonder Woman will have to wait to see Gal Gadot play the character in Snyder’s film. That currently has a release date of 17th July, 2015.
