“The Flash” Brings in Former Flash

In some rather cool news, John Wesley Shipp has been cast in The CW’s upcoming The Flash. Why’s that so cool, I hear you ask? Well, Shipp played The Flash back in the live-action 1990 show. As for who he’ll be playing, that is currently unknown although it is said to be a recurring role. Current speculation seems to be leaning towards him playing Barry Allen’s father, whilst some other stories have gone as far as to say he’ll be playing Jay Garrick, the original Flash.

The Flash is set to star Grant Gustin as Barry Allen/Flash, Rick Gosnett as Eddie Thawne/Professor Zoom, Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow/Killer Frost, Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramon/Vibe, Tom Cavanagh as Harrison Wells, Candice Patton as Iris West and Jesse L. Martin as Detective West.

Developed by Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg and Geoff Johns, The Flash‘s pilot is expected to drop towards the middle of the year.
