Given how lacklustre the early response has been to anything involving Josh Trank’s The Fantastic Four, it comes as a mighty bold move from 20th Century Fox to already announce a release date for a sequel. With The Fantastic Four 2 confirmed for a 14th July, 2017, Fox has also revealed that the third Wolverine solo film is set for a 3rd March, 2017 release. Not only that, but the studio has a mystery Marvel movie slated for 18th July, 2018. Early speculation suggests that this mystery release is the X-Force movie that Jeff Wadlow has been developing for Fox.
In another interested moving around, the studio has also brought Matthew Vaughn’s The Secret Service forward from 6th March, 2015 to 24th October of this year. That move will see the film go up against the Halloween market, which includes the likes of Ouija and Paranormal Activity 5.
Before 20th Century Fox gets carried away with those superhero sequels, first up is X-Men: Days of Future Past on 23rd May, The Fantastic Four on 19th June, 2015 and X-Men: Apocalypse on 27th May, 2016.
