TheWrap is reporting that 20th Century Fox have got a release date and writer for Prometheus 2, the sequel to Ridley Scott’s 2012 film.
To be released on 4th March, 2016, Michael Green has been brought on to pen the sequel’s script. Green is best known for working on the Green Lantern screenplay, but hopefully that’s no indication of his talents. He’s also been working on the long-planned Blade Runner with Scott. A draft script for Prometheus 2 was initially penned by Jack Paglen, but Green has now been hired to make some changes.
In terms of details, very little is known about the sequel other than it will apparently feature several versions of the synthetic David, played by Michael Fassbender in the original film. More Fassbender? Yes please.
Prometheus 2 is expected to go into production towards the end of this year.
