I’ll be honest, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. lost me a while ago. I’ve still got the last 4 episodes or so to catch up on. I’ll get round to it, just there’s no urgency. Not like Arrow, but that’s another story.
Anyways, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is adding the supervillain Blackout to its ranks. Patrick Brennan, best known for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2, will play the character. In fact, Brennan has been discussing the gig, saying, “This is the way they explained it to me. This guy, Marcus Daniels, aka Blackout, was shrouded in darkness, his soul, everything about him was shrouded in darkness until he comes across this cello player. And the music was the only light that came into his soul, and it gave him hope and it gave him some sense of what light was. I thought to myself, oh god, you don’t even need to explain anything else. Because music, to me, is what gets me through most of the time. My kids, my wife, and music. That aspect of it totally intrigued me. I thought that was quite beautiful and very interesting, that aspect of the character.”
As for the cello player, that’s been recently confirmed as Amy Acker’s Audrey, who also has ties to Agent Coulson. Brennan’s Marcus Daniel will debut in the episode that airs on 15th April in the US, with UK audiences to get the character’s first appearance a few weeks later. Marvel.com have also released the below image of Brennan as Daniels.
