2016 Gets “Transformers 5”, “Star Trek 3” and Lots More

As the release of Transformers: Age of Extinction is nearly upon, now comes word that Paramount Pictures already has plans for a fifth Transformers movie. It turns out that film and a whole host more are being set for a 2016 release.

In terms of this fifth Transformers, no major plot details are known at this stage, although it’s said that Michael Bay won’t be returning this time around. That movie is expected to hit in either June or July of 2016. As much as I’ve regularly bashed the Transformers franchise, I am actually quite looking forward to Age of Extinction.

Elsewhere, 2016 will also sees Hansel & Gretel 2 (urgh!), G.I. Joe 3 (meh), Paranormal Activity 5, the as-expected Star Trek 3, a new Bourne, and, err, Beverley Hills Cop 4. In terms of Bourne, that movie was initially planned for a 14th August, 2015 release but has been pushed back to 15th July, 2016.

Expect more on these flicks as they develop.
