Quentin Tarantino’s next movie, The Hateful Eight, was first announced around the turn of the year. Then it was off. Nope. Nah. Niet. QT revealed how one of the people he’d trusted with the film’s script had leaked it online, causing the director to call the whole thing off. Yes, toys firmly out of the pram. Anyway, after a few months to calm down, the film was back on. Now comes word on its shooting schedule.
Speaking to MyFoxPhilly, the legend that is Kurt Russell (above) confirmed when the film is expected to start shooting, saying, “I’ve got a Tarantino project called The Hateful Eight that looks like it may go somewhere around the beginning of the year.” Russell, who worked with Tarantino on Death Proof, is to have a large role in the flick.
This latest Western from QT will also feature Bruce Dern, Michael Madsen, James Remar, Tim Roth, Amber Tamblyn and Zoe Bell. Russell will play one half of a pair of bounty hunters. The other, of course (this is Tarantino, after all), will be Samuel L. Jackson.
