In some new casting news, Peter Shinkoda has been added to Marvel’s Netflix-exclusive Daredevil. He will play a ‘major recurring role’ in the show, although the exact role is unknown at this stage. Shinkoda is best known for Falling Skies, plus appearances in the likes of Godzilla, Paycheck and I, Robot.
Shinkoda joins a cast that includes Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock/Daredevil, Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin, Elden Hanson as Foggy Nelson, and an unconfirmed role for Rosario Dawson. Daredevil is due to start its 13-episode run on Netflix next year, then the show will be followed be solo series for Luke Cage, Iron First, and Jessica Jones, with the four heroes teaming up for a Defenders mini-series.

Marvel’s Daredevil follows the journey of Matt Murdock, who was blinded as a young boy but imbued with extraordinary senses, now fighting against injustice by day as a lawyer, and by night as the super hero Daredevil in modern day Hell’s Kitchen, New York City.
Marvel’s first original series on Netflix is Executive Produced by series Showrunner Steven S. DeKnight (“Spartacus”, “Buffy: The Vampire Slayer”, “Angel”) and Drew Goddard (“Cabin in the Woods,” “Lost,” “Buffy The Vampire Slayer,” in addition to writing the first two episodes of “Marvel’s Daredevil”), along with Marvel TV’s Jeph Loeb (“Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” “Smallville,” “Heroes”).
Personally, I’m not sure there’s anything else out there, in terms of a 2016 release, that I’m more looking forward to than Daredevil. Well, I guess there’s that small Avengers film…
