“Power Ranges” Adds “X-Men: First Class” and “ASM” Writers

A few months ago it was reported that a Power Rangers movie was in development. Now comes word, courtesy of The Hollywood Reporter, of who will be working on the script for the film.

Firstly, Roberto Orci is on board to work on the screenplay. He is best known, in terms of writing work, for the recent Star TrekTransformers and The Amazing Spider-Man movies. He will also be directing 2016’s Star Trek 3. Orci will also serve as an executive producer, with the X-Men: First Class duo of Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz writing the bulk of the script.

As ever, this film will focus on a group of high school kids who are infused with unique superpowers, coming together as a team to save the world.
