With Guardians of the Galaxy released later this month, then Avengers: Age of Ultron and Ant-Man to follow next year, what could be next for Marvel Studios and their Phase Three or movies and beyond? Well, whilst no actual films have been confirmed, Marvel have announced release dates for an additional five movies.
It’s already known that the studio have two unnamed projects booked in for the 8th July, 2016 and 5th May, 2017, but now comes word that they will also be releasing films on 28th July, 2017, 3rd November, 2017, 6th July, 2018, 2nd November, 2018, and 3rd May, 2019. Yes, we don’t know just what those films will be at this stage, although it’s said that Scott Derrickson’s Doctor Strange will nab the 8th July, 2016 spot.
Captain America 3 is already confirmed for a 6th May, 2016 release, then there’s been nearly-confirmed news that Thor 3 and Guardians of the Galaxy 2 are happening. Ooh, and of course The Avengers 3. Other than that, let the speculation commence. Could Iron Man 4 actually happen? Will the Hulk finally get another solo film? Could the rumours of standalone films for the likes of Black Widow, Captain Marvel, and Black Panther turn out to be true?
Expect more on this as it develops.
