TVLine has word that The CW has added the
villainous villainess Plastique to its Arrow spin-off, The Flash. The character has yet to be cast, but the outlet reports Plastique will be “a fetching young redhead who was a bomb specialist with the Army before she was injured by an IED in Iraq. Since being exposed to the Central City explosion, she can turn any object into a bomb with just a touch of her hand.” It’s added that she could possibly start off as an ally of Grant Gustin’s Flash, before then turning to the darkside.
The character of Plastique made her debut back in Fury of Firestorm #7, serving most of her comic book tenure as a villain of Captain Atom’s, a character who will be played by former Superman Brandon Routh in the upcoming third season of Arrow. It’s also worth noting that Plastique has been known to go up against Firestorm, who has been half cast in The Flash. By that I mean that Robbie Amell has been cast as Robbie Raymond, one half of the character that is comprised of Raymond and Martin Stein. Even more cooler, Plastique has ties to the Suicide Squad, who have already been seen in Season 2 of Arrow.
The Flash is set to debut on The CW on 7th October, with Arrow returning the following night.
