At the moment, several Jean-Claude Van Damme films are at various stages of getting remade. As well as Timecop and Bloodsport, Kickboxer is a redo that is starting to come together in terms of cast. Now comes word of two more hard-hitting names being added to the rejig of the 1989 movie.
The Exchange, who are being Kickboxer, have confirmed that Ong Bak‘s Tony Jaa and The Expendables 2‘s Scott Adkins have joined the film. They join a cast that already includes X-Men: Days of Future Past‘s Alain Moussi, Guardians of the Galaxy‘s Dave Bautista, and Captain America: The Winter Soldier‘s George St-Pierre.
In terms of plot, Moussi’s Kurt Sloan will be travelling to Thailand to avenge his brother’s death at the hands of the bastardly Bautista’s Tong Po.
The Kickboxer remake will be directed by Tai Chi Zero‘s Stephen Fung.
