Urgh. Just urgh.
The Wrap has brought news that the next Texas Chainsaw Massacre movie (yes, it’s confirmed to be happening once more) is to be a prequel. Not only that, it will serve as an origin story for Leatherface. Why? I have no fucking idea.
Given the subject of the film, the title will officially be simply Leatherface, similar to the third of the Chainsaw flicks. Additionally, the film will take place in the ’70s and will be written by newcomer Seth M. Sherwood (welcome to the game, kid). Millennium Films will be developing the film.
Leatherface will apparently head to production towards the end of this year. So, as ever, expect more on this as it develops.
Not again!! Walk away from the serial killer.

Yep. Apparently there’s at least one more movie in the series. And an origin story? Yeesh! And I thought it couldn’t get worse than Chainsaw 3D…

They should seriously just let this go.

Totally. Loved the original, even didn’t mind that first remake. The rest are all forgettable, even most of the original sequels.

In agreement with you there. They were just… there. Nothing grand. What makes this any better than the others?
