Finally! After waiting for an age for some confirmation, it’s now been announced that the Arrow spin-off, The Flash, has been given a UK home. Now exact premiere date has been announced but the show will air on Sky1. It’s expected that the show’s debut won’t be too far behind The CW’s 7th October US bow.
The official word from Sky reads:
From the executive producers and creative team behind hit series Arrow, The Flash follows the high-speed adventures of the fastest man alive.
Central City Police scientist Barry Allen (Grant Gustin, Glee) has been standing still emotionally since the day his mother was murdered and his father unjustly jailed for the crime. But when an unexpected and devastating accident at the S.T.A.R. Labs Particle Accelerator facility strikes Barry, he finds himself suddenly charged with the incredible power to move at super speeds.
Barry sets out to use his newfound superhero powers to stop crime. Working alongside his adopted father Detective West, Barry uses his superhuman abilities to help the people of Central City and stop the rogues’ gallery of villains, many of whom have also been altered by the particle accelerator explosion.
The Flash is coming soon to Sky 1 HD.
