Audio: The Week in Film #37 – Aunt May Solo Movie? Really? Really, Really?

Right, it’s been a while since I’ve posted my weekly radio show on here. But, y’know, as I’m slowly getting back to using this ol’ website, it’s only right that I pimp out The Week in Film as and when it appears. And as it happens, the show just so happened to air an hour or two ago over at Calon FM. If you happened to have missed the show (or just want another go at it), you can listen to it below.

This week’s show covers:

Chatting Regarding: The new Star Wars: Episode VII title, plus rumours of what role Luke Skywalker will take up in the film; the full cast revealed for Quentin Tarantino’s The Hateful Eight and the director’s plans to retire; Matt Damon confirms Bourne return; Mark Wahlberg confirmed to headline The Six Million Dollar Man; shooting details and casting news on Rocky spin-off, Creed; Warner Brothers’ Suicide Squad lining up Jai Courtney for Deadshot, Margot Robbie for Harley Quinn, and Jared Leto for The Joker; some horrible news on the Fantastic Four reboot’s Doctor Doom character; Sony’s latest attempt to rescue their doomed Spider-Man property is seemingly to do an Aunt May solo movie; Universal monsters universe is being expanded with a new take on The Wolf Man; plot details finally emerge on Rob Zombie’s 31; release dates moved/confirmed for Insidious: Chapter 3 and The Conjuring 2; and the usual UK box office report, upcoming cinema releases, upcoming home releases and much, much more.

Songs From: The Turtles (The Boat That Rocked), Daft Punk (TRON: Legacy), John Cafferty (Rocky IV), The Futureheads (Grandma’s Boy), Sniff ‘n’ the Tears (Anchorman 2), James Brown (Get On Up), and Spiritualized (Me and You and Everyone We Know).
